Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra (BHSO) is proud to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026. As one of Singapore’s longest-running community orchestras, BHSO has grown into a vibrant musical community dedicated to making music accessible and meaningful.
To mark this milestone, we invite Singaporean and PR musicians of all ages and backgrounds to take part in this open call for concerto competition.
The winner will be performing with BHSO at our 40th Anniversary Gala Concert on 30 August 2026 at Victoria Concert Hall.

Eligibility: Open to all Singaporeans and PR
Originality: Submitted audio must be from the registered applicant
All submissions will be reviewed by an artistic panel, and the winner will be announced in June 2026.

Applicants are required to submit an unedited audio recording. All three movements must be performed and recorded in a single continuous take without any cuts or post-production editing.
Open to all western instruments
Eligible piece should be a complete concerto
As a non-profit community orchestra, BHSO is unable to offer a monetary commission fee. However, the winner will get to perform with a full symphony orchestra at Victoria Concert Hall, offering valuable performance exposure, professional rehearsal experience, and personal recognition.
